Dilbilim hepimizin konuştuğu dillerin gelişimi, işleyişini temel alan bilim dalıdır. Disiplin içerisinde Tarihsel Dilbilim, Fonoloji, Morfoloji gibi dallara ayrılır. Dilbilimciler, konuştuğumuz diller nereden geldi, nereye giderler, bu sözcük kimindir, bir sözcük birinin olabilir mi, kelimeler tesadüfi mi oluşmuştur, hepimizin aklında bir insan dili şablonu var mı gibi, ama bunlarla sınırlı kalmamak üzere, sorularla uğraşırlar. Yazokulumuzda dilbilim disiplinine ve akılalmaz keşiflerine yakından bakarak konuya dair yeni yaklaşımlar edinmeye çalıştık.
